Cal Poly crushes Cal State Fullerton in 11th loss, 100-61

    SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Owen Koonce led Cal Poly to a commanding 100-61 triumph over Cal State Fullerton on Thursday night, marking Fullerton’s 11th consecutive defeat. Koonce recorded 21 points for the Mustangs, making 8 of his 15 shot attempts, including three successful three-pointers out of five tries.

    Supporting Koonce’s efforts, Jarred Hyder contributed 16 points and showcased his defensive skills with three steals. Isaac Jessup also made a significant impact by scoring 15 points, going 5 for 9 from downtown, and collected six rebounds, reinforcing Cal Poly’s strong performance.

    On the other side, the Titans struggled, with Antwan Robinson leading their scoreboard with 17 points. Kendrick De Luna added depth with 14 points, while Zach Visentin chipped in with 13 points and blocked two shots.

    As both teams prepare to conclude their regular season, Cal Poly is set to visit Long Beach State, while Cal State Fullerton will play host to UC Riverside on Saturday.
