RIVERSIDE, Calif. — In an exhilarating matchup, Barrington Hargress delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 32 points to propel UC Riverside to a commanding 94-79 victory over Cal State Northridge on Thursday night.
Hargress was a key player for the Highlanders, contributing six assists alongside his impressive scoring tally. Kaleb Smith also played a pivotal role, adding 19 points and collecting five rebounds. Isaiah Moses brought additional firepower with 15 points and facilitated with eight assists, helping UC Riverside (20-11, 13-6 Big West Conference) secure their triumph.
On the opposing side, the Matadors (21-9, 13-6) saw a strong effort from Marcus Adams Jr., who topped their scoring with 17 points. Mahmoud Fofana contributed with 15 points and secured six rebounds, while PJ Fuller matched with 15 points and added six assists, although their efforts were not enough to overtake the Highlanders.
Both teams are set to conclude their regular season campaigns on Saturday. UC Riverside will be visiting Cal State Fullerton, while Cal State Northridge is preparing to host Hawaii.
