Whitney was near-perfect, going 5 for 6 from the field and a flawless 8 for 8 from the free-throw line, contributing 18 crucial points for the Grizzlies.
Te’Jon Sawyer added his prowess to the effort by scoring 12 points, hitting 4 of his 6 shots from the floor and completing 3 of 4 free-throw attempts. Joe Pridgen also had a notable game, contributing 11 points and showing consistent shooting with a 5-for-6 success rate from the field. This victory marks the 10th consecutive win for the Grizzlies, boosting their season record to 21-8 and an impressive 14-2 within the conference.
On the other hand, Sacramento State, struggling in the rankings with a 7-22 overall record and 3-13 in the conference, showed resilience through Jacob Holt’s efforts. Holt led the Hornets with 16 points, pulled down nine rebounds, and stole the ball twice. His teammate, EJ Neal, added 11 points alongside two blocks, while Emil Skytta contributed eight points to their score.
