    STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State secured a 67-52 victory against Abilene Christian, propelled by Bubu Benjamin’s standout performance, contributing 16 points on Thursday night.

    Benjamin also helped his team with six rebounds, playing a crucial role for the Texans, who hold a record of 12-17 overall and 7-7 in the Western Athletic Conference. In addition, Freddy Hicks made a significant impact by scoring 13 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Chris Mpaka also scored impressively, putting up 12 points by shooting 4 of 9 from the field and an efficient 4 out of 5 from the free-throw line.

    Competing against them, the Wildcats, now holding a 14-14 record with a 6-7 conference standing, were led by Leonardo Bettiol’s contribution of 12 points. Bradyn Hubbard added 11 points along with two steals, while Quion Williams provided solid support with nine points, six rebounds, and three blocks. This loss marks the end of a five-game winning streak for Abilene Christian.
