Adams nets 24 points, leading Cal State Northridge to an 84-72 victory over UC Irvine

IRVINE, Calif. — In an exciting matchup on Thursday, Marcus Adams Jr. played a pivotal role in Cal State Northridge’s victory over UC Irvine, finishing with an impressive 24 points in an 84-72 triumph.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Adams also contributed five rebounds to help his team secure their sixth consecutive win in the Big West Conference. His teammates supported him well, with Scotty Washington adding 14 points along with five rebounds of his own. Tyler Beard managed to score 10 points, shooting 3 of 9 from the field and making 3 of 4 attempts at the free-throw line, despite struggling with his three-point shooting, going 1 for 5.

On the other side of the court, UC Irvine’s Torian Lee emerged as the top scorer for the Anteaters, netting 20 points while also recording three steals. Bent Leuchten made a significant impact as well, contributing 18 points and blocking four shots. Jurian Dixon rounded out the scoring for UC Irvine with 11 points.
