GREELEY, Colo. — In an impressive display, Jaron Rillie led Northern Colorado to a 95-76 victory over Eastern Washington on Thursday, scoring a total of 23 points.
Rillie’s performance was notable not only for his scoring but also for his all-around contributions, racking up 10 rebounds and delivering five assists for the Bears, who now hold a record of 20 wins and 8 losses, with 12 wins against 3 losses in the Big Sky Conference.
Isaiah Hawthorne also made a significant impact, contributing 18 points while shooting 4 of 7 from the floor, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc, and he was an impressive 9 for 11 from the free-throw line.
Additionally, Quinn Denker showcased his shooting skills, finishing with 12 points after going 5 of 6 from the field and making 2 of 3 attempts from three-point distance.
For Eastern Washington, Andrew Cook was the standout player, scoring 21 points.
Teammate Sebastian Hartmann added 13 points to the Eagles’ efforts, while Mason Williams also contributed 13 points, yet the team fell short with a record of 10 wins and 17 losses, including 6 wins and 8 losses in conference play.
