Abilene, Texas — In an impressive performance on Thursday night, Hunter Jack Madden contributed significantly with 14 points, helping Abilene Christian secure a 75-59 victory over Southern Utah.
Madden demonstrated his shooting skills, achieving a field goal percentage of 50%, as he connected on 4 of 8 attempts. He also excelled from beyond the arc, making 2 of 5 three-point shots, and was perfect at the free-throw line, converting all four attempts. This win improved the Wildcats’ record to 13-13 for the season, including a 5-6 standing in the Western Athletic Conference.
In addition to Madden, Quion Williams also contributed 14 points, with a shooting line of 5 for 14 and successfully hitting 4 of 8 free throws. Bradyn Hubbard added depth to the team’s performance, scoring 11 points from 4 of 8 shooting, while also making his presence felt on the boards with 10 rebounds and three steals.
For the Thunderbirds, Jamir Simpson was the standout player, notching his own 15 points paired with six rebounds. JT Langston Jr. supported the team with 13 points and six rebounds, while Brock Felder added to the scoreline with eight points and six rebounds.
