CHICAGO — In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, Central Connecticut State secured a victory against Chicago State with a final score of 81-75, driven by Abdul Momoh’s impressive performance, scoring 19 points.
Momoh demonstrated accuracy in shooting, converting 8 of 12 attempts from the field and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line, contributing significantly to the Blue Devils’ success.
Additionally, Jordan Jones offered strong support with 18 points, shooting 6 of 9 overall and hitting 2 of 4 from beyond the arc, while also making all four of his free-throw attempts.
Devin Haid proved to be another key player for the team, finishing with 16 points after shooting 4 of 7 from the field and achieving a perfect 7 of 7 from the charity stripe.
This victory marks the Blue Devils’ ninth consecutive win, solidifying their place at 20-6 overall and 11-2 in the Northeast Conference.
On the other side, the Chicago State Cougars, now at 4-24 and 4-9 in their conference, were led by Dailliss Cox, who managed to post a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Noble Crawford also made notable contributions with 16 points, accompanied by seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Jalen Forrest further added to the team’s efforts with 15 points and seven rebounds, showcasing his skills throughout the game.
