NORFOLK, Va. — In a thrilling matchup, Obinna Anochili-Killen led Marshall to an 81-77 victory over Old Dominion on Thursday evening, scoring an impressive 24 points.
Anochili-Killen not only shone on offense but also contributed defensively with four blocks for the Thundering Herd, who now hold a record of 16 wins and 12 losses, including a 9-6 mark in the Sun Belt Conference.

Mikal Dawson played a solid supporting role, contributing 15 points while connecting on 6 of 12 attempts from the field, although he struggled from beyond the arc with just one successful three-pointer out of seven tries. In addition to his scoring, Dawson secured seven rebounds and assisted five times. Dezayne Mingo also made his mark by scoring 12 points on 5 of 8 shooting, and he showcased his all-around play with eight rebounds and six assists.

On the opposing side, Sean Durugordon was a standout for the Monarchs, notching 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. His efforts were complemented by Robert Davis Jr., who added 18 points to the scoreline, and R.J. Blakney, who contributed 16 points, six rebounds, and two steals for Old Dominion, which now stands at 11 wins and 17 losses with a 7-8 conference record.
