CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — In an impressive display of skill, Tedrick Washington Jr. contributed significantly to Southeast Missouri State’s 83-69 victory over Tennessee Tech on Saturday evening, finishing the game with 21 points.
Washington’s shooting performance saw him make 8 of 19 attempts, including 1 for 8 from beyond the arc, and he was perfect from the charity stripe, sinking all 4 of his free throws. His efforts helped the Redhawks improve their season record to 17-10, with a commendable 12-4 standing in the Ohio Valley Conference. Other key contributors for Southeast included Rob Martin, who scored 17 points while hitting 8 of 12 shots, and Brendan Terry, who achieved 15 points with an efficient 7 of 9 shooting performance. With this latest win, the Redhawks extended their success streak to seven consecutive games.
On the opposing side, Jaylon Johnson emerged as the top scorer for the Golden Eagles, netting 17 points. Tennessee Tech also saw solid contributions from Grant Slatten, who added 12 points, while Rodney Johnson Jr. chipped in with nine points.
