STATESBORO, Ga. — Adante’ Holiman delivered an impressive performance, scoring 24 points to help Georgia Southern secure a narrow 78-75 victory against Old Dominion on Saturday night.
Holiman finished the game with an 8-for-18 shooting record, including 4-for-9 from three-point range, and he made 4 of his 5 free-throw attempts for the Eagles, who now hold a record of 14-13 overall and 6-8 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Tyson Brown contributed significantly with 17 points and also posted a strong all-around stat line with 13 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks. Eren Banks added 14 points, going 5-for-10 from the field, which included two successful three-point shots out of five attempts.
On the other side, Old Dominion’s Sean Durugordon matched Holiman’s scoring effort, finishing the night with 24 points along with 10 rebounds and three steals. The Monarchs, now at 11-16 overall and 7-7 in their conference play, also saw contributions of 14 points from Jaden Johnson and 11 points from Caden Diggs.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to play again on Thursday. Georgia Southern will be traveling to face Appalachian State, while Old Dominion prepares to host Marshall at home.
