SPARTANBURG, S.C. — In a thrilling matchup on Saturday, Trey Fort showcased an incredible performance by scoring 36 points, leading the Samford Bulldogs to a 76-68 victory over the Wofford Terriers.
Fort’s contribution was pivotal as he also grabbed eight rebounds, helping the Bulldogs improve their season record to 20 wins and 7 losses, with a conference standing of 10-4 in the Southern Conference. Supporting Fort’s efforts, Rylan Jones contributed 14 points along with five rebounds, while Josh Holloway added another 14 points, hitting 5 of 8 from the field and going 4 of 7 from the free-throw line.
For the Wofford Terriers, who now hold a record of 14-13 and an 8-6 mark in the conference, Kyler Filewich emerged as the top scorer with 18 points and recorded nine rebounds. Justin Bailey played a key role as well, scoring 13 points and making four steals, while Corey Tripp rounded out the scoring with 11 points.
