NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — In an impressive display of skill, Jordan Jones contributed significantly to Central Connecticut State’s 83-67 victory over Saint Francis (PA) on Saturday, scoring 24 points throughout the game.
Jones also made a notable impact with seven assists, showcasing his versatility on the court. The Blue Devils now hold a record of 19 wins and 6 losses, including an impressive 10-2 mark in the Northeast Conference, while they continue to ride an eight-game winning streak.
Devin Haid was another key player for the Blue Devils, adding 21 points to the scoreboard. He showcased an efficient shooting performance, hitting 7 out of 12 attempts from the field, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc, while also converting all six of his free throw attempts. His contributions extended beyond scoring as he also picked up seven rebounds during the game.
Jayden Brown also made his presence felt, finishing with 13 points on 6 of 11 shooting. The collective effort from Jones, Haid, and Brown was instrumental in the Blue Devils’ commanding victory.
On the other side of the court, Valentino Pinedo led the Red Flash with 15 points, while teammates Daemar Kelly and Jeremy Clayville both contributed 11 points each, with Kelly adding four assists.
Both Central Connecticut State and Saint Francis (PA) will be looking to maintain their momentum and continue their seasons on a strong note as they prepare for their upcoming games on Thursday. Central Connecticut State will be traveling to face Chicago State, while Saint Francis (PA) will compete against Le Moyne in an away matchup.
