JERSEY CITY, N.J. — In an exciting matchup on Friday night, Armoni Zeigler’s impressive performance led Saint Peter’s to a 65-52 victory over Fairfield. Zeigler contributed significantly to the team’s success, scoring 14 points and grabbing six rebounds for the Peacocks, who improved their record to 8-13, with a 3-10 performance in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

Marcus Randolph also played a crucial role in the win, despite a challenging shooting night where he made only 2 of 12 attempts from the field, including a single three-pointer out of five attempts. However, he was perfect from the free-throw line, converting all eight of his attempts, which brought his total points to 13. Additionally, Bryce Eaton had a solid outing, scoring 13 points as well by hitting 3 of 9 shots overall, including one out of four from beyond the arc, and he, too, was flawless at the free-throw line, completing all six attempts. This victory marked a much-needed end to a five-game losing streak for the Peacocks.

On the other side, Kyle Jenkins was the leading scorer for the Stags, posting 12 points. He was supported by Braden Sparks, who added 11 points along with two steals, while Jamie Bergens also contributed another 11 points for Fairfield.

Both teams are scheduled to return to action on Sunday, with Saint Peter’s set to host Rider and Fairfield welcoming Manhattan to their home court.
