FLORENCE, Ala. — North Alabama secured an 83-70 victory against North Florida on Thursday night, with standout Jacari Lane contributing significantly to the win by scoring 21 points.
In addition to his scoring prowess, Lane also provided seven assists, helping the Lions improve their record to 18-8 and 10-3 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Daniel Ortiz delivered a solid performance with 18 points, albeit with a shooting line of 7 of 21, including 4 for 15 from beyond the arc. Both Corneilous Williams and Will Soucie added to the offensive effort, each contributing 12 points.
Nate Lliteras was the leading scorer for the Ospreys, finishing with 20 points and two blocks, showcasing his defensive skills as well. Additionally, Jasai Miles chipped in 13 points and recorded four assists for North Florida, which now stands at 13-13 overall and 6-7 in conference play.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Saturday. North Alabama will take on Jacksonville at home, while North Florida will travel to face Central Arkansas.
