COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In an impressive display of talent, Donovan Dent led the charge for New Mexico with 25 points, guiding the Lobos to a decisive 88-53 victory over Air Force on Saturday night.

Dent also contributed significantly with six assists, helping the Lobos improve their record to 20-4 overall and 12-1 within the Mountain West Conference. Tru Washington was another standout player, scoring 16 points while also contributing five rebounds and four steals. Nelly Junior Joseph supported the effort with 14 points, showcasing his efficiency by shooting 6 of 10 from the field and hitting 2 of 3 from the free-throw line. This victory marked the sixth consecutive win for the Lobos.

On the other side of the court, Air Force struggled to find their rhythm throughout the game. Luke Kearney led the Falcons with 12 points and two steals, while teammate Ethan Taylor chipped in with eight points and an additional two steals. Wesley Celichowski also made his presence felt, posting seven points along with two blocks. Unfortunately for Air Force, this loss extended their current losing streak to an unfortunate 14 games.

As for what’s next, the Lobos will play again on Wednesday against Wyoming in their home gym, while the Falcons are set to visit UNLV on Tuesday evening.
