HAMILTON, N.Y. — Jalen Cox led the Colgate Raiders to an 82-68 victory over Loyola Maryland on Saturday, scoring 22 points and providing 10 assists.
Cox also contributed defensively, picking up five steals during the match, solidifying his pivotal role in the win for Colgate (10-15, 7-5 Patriot League).
In addition to Cox’s performance, Nicolas Louis-Jacques found success from beyond the arc, making four 3-pointers and totaling 19 points.
Jeff Woodward was also instrumental, finishing the game with 17 points, shooting an impressive 8-for-9 from the field.
On the opposing side, the Greyhounds (10-13, 5-7) saw Jacob Theodosiou shine as he scored a career-high 32 points, sinking six 3-pointers to keep his team competitive.
He complemented his scoring with six rebounds and four assists.
Milos Ilic contributed with 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Jordan Stiemke added nine points along with two blocks.
Despite a strong effort from Theodosiou, Colgate found themselves trailing 34-25 at halftime, with Woodward scoring nine points in the first half.
However, Cox’s performance was crucial in the latter stages of the game; he scored the final six points for Colgate, helping to secure the 14-point victory.
