RICHMOND, Va. — In a decisive performance on Tuesday night, Joe Bamisile contributed significantly to VCU’s 96-66 triumph over La Salle, scoring 17 points in the game.
Bamisile showcased his shooting skills, converting 7 of 14 attempts from the field, including two out of eight from the three-point line. His efforts were complemented by Max Shulga, who added 14 points while hitting 5 of 10 shots, with a pair hitting the three-point mark, and grabbing six rebounds. Terrence Hill Jr. also had a strong showing, finishing with 13 points after going 5 for 7, including a commendable 3 for 5 from long range.
On the opposing side, Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi led the Explorers with 11 points, while Jahlil White contributed 10 points and two steals. Daeshon Shepherd chipped in with nine points, rounding out the scoring for La Salle.
VCU seized control of the game with 11:02 left in the first half and maintained their lead throughout the match. By halftime, the Rams were ahead 48-28, with Bamisile having scored 12 points by that time. The team further extended their dominance in the second half, leading 77-38 at one point thanks to a remarkable 19-0 run.
Looking ahead, VCU will face Dayton on the road this upcoming Friday, while La Salle prepares to host UMass on Sunday.
