Wooley’s 18 Points Lead Kennesaw State to a 73-67 Victory Over Florida International

Kennesaw, Georgia – In Saturday evening’s contest, Adrian Wooley shone brightly for Kennesaw State, contributing 18 points in their 73-67 victory over Florida International. Wooley’s performance was bolstered by not only his scoring but also by five rebounds and three steals, helping the Owls improve their season record to 13-9 and Conference USA record to 5-4. Alongside Wooley, Braedan Lue added 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals, further enhancing the team’s effort. Ramone Seals was efficient, converting 5 of 6 shots from the floor and netting 13 points, including three from the free-throw line.

On the opposing side, the Panthers had their efforts led by Jayden Brewer, who managed to score 22 points while also grabbing seven rebounds and making two steals. Vianney Salatchoum supported the team with 10 points, two steals, and two blocks. Ashton Williamson also made a mark with his 10 points, alongside five assists and three steals, with Asim Jones contributing an additional 10 points. Unfortunately for Florida International, this matchup marked their seventh consecutive loss, leaving their season record at 7-15 and 1-8 in conference play.

In the first half of the game, Lue made a strong impact, scoring eight points which helped Kennesaw State establish a lead of 35-29 at halftime. In the latter half, Wooley took charge, leading the Owls by scoring 10 points and ensuring their margin of victory.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to return to action on Thursday. Kennesaw State will play at home against Western Kentucky, whereas Florida International will face Sam Houston in their own home game.
