KINGSTON, R.I. — In a thrilling contest on Wednesday night, Sebastian Thomas led the Rhode Island Rams to an 88-82 triumph over the UMass Minutemen, scoring an impressive 22 points.

Alongside his scoring prowess, Thomas also made significant contributions to the game, tallying eight rebounds, seven assists, and four steals. His performance helped improve the Rams’ record to 15-6 overall and 4-5 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.

Jaden House also made a strong impact, adding 19 points to the scoreboard, with an efficient shooting display that saw him hit 5 of 9 from the field and go 9 for 11 from the free-throw line. He also collected six rebounds, displaying his all-around game. Meanwhile, David Green showcased his accuracy as he finished with 18 points, going 7 of 10 from the field, including 2 of 3 from beyond the arc.

On the other side, UMass struggled despite their efforts, with Rahsool Diggins standing out as the top scorer for the Minutemen, netting 27 points along with two steals. Jaylen Curry provided additional support with 15 points, while Daniel Rivera contributed 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

David Green capped off the scoring for Rhode Island with the final six points of the game, ensuring their victory. Looking ahead, Rhode Island will be gearing up to face Fordham on the road on February 5, while UMass will head to Duquesne for their next matchup on Saturday.
