BATON ROUGE, La. — In a dominant performance, Johni Broome led the way with an impressive 20 of his total 26 points in the second half, while also grabbing 16 rebounds, as top-ranked Auburn secured an 87-74 victory over LSU on Wednesday night. This win marks Auburn’s 12th consecutive victory, solidifying their strong presence in college basketball this season.

With this victory, Auburn improved to a record of 19-1 and maintained an undefeated 7-0 in the Southeastern Conference. This performance also matched the best start through 20 games in the history of the program. Notably, several other players contributed to the win; Kelly Miles scored 13 points, Chad-Baker Mazara added 11 points, and Tahaad Petiford chipped in with 10 points.

On the opposing side, Cam Carter was the standout for LSU, finishing the evening with 24 points. Dji Bailey contributed 13 points, while Jordan Sears rounded out the scoring with 11 points for the team.
