Rigsby posts 15 points as Troy defeats South Alabama 65-55

TROY, Ala. — In a competitive matchup on Saturday night, Myles Rigsby propelled Troy to a 65-55 victory over South Alabama, putting up an impressive 15 points.
Rigsby’s performance extended beyond scoring, as he also grabbed six rebounds and recorded three steals for the Trojans, who now stand at 12-7 overall and 5-3 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Cooper Campbell contributed significantly as well, hitting four of nine shots from the field, including four of eight from beyond the arc, to add 12 points to the team’s total.
Tayton Conerway managed to score 10 points despite struggling with his shooting, making only four of 17 attempts, including just one of ten from three-point range.
However, he also made his presence felt by tallying five rebounds, nine assists, and five steals.

On the opposing side, Jayden Cooper led the way for the Jaguars, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Barry Dunning Jr. helped his team with nine points and nine rebounds, while Judah Brown supported with seven points, seven rebounds, and three steals, contributing to South Alabama’s effort.
After this game, both teams are set to return to action on Monday.
Troy will host Southern Miss, while South Alabama is scheduled to take on UL Monroe in their next contest.
