HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Colby Duggan delivered a standout performance, scoring 17 of his 23 points in the second half, including a crucial basket with just 1.2 seconds remaining in overtime, leading Campbell to a thrilling 69-67 victory over Hofstra on Saturday.
Duggan made an impressive 7 of 15 shots from the field and converted 8 of 10 free throws during the game for the Fighting Camels, who now hold a record of 10-11 overall and are 5-3 in the Coastal Athletic Association. Nolan Dorsey also contributed significantly with 22 points, while Jasin Sinani had 17 points and secured 11 rebounds.
The Pride, with an overall record of 11-10 and 3-5 in conference play, was paced by Jean Aranguren, who tallied 14 points. Cruz Davis joined in the effort with 13 points, complemented by seven rebounds and seven assists. Michael Graham also had a notable game, recording 12 points and an impressive 21 rebounds.
Campbell faced a tough first half, entering halftime trailing 36-20. However, the momentum shifted in the closing moments of regulation when Sinani drained a game-tying three-pointer with only two seconds left, sending the match into overtime.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to return to action on Thursday. Campbell will host William & Mary, while Hofstra is scheduled to take on Elon on the road.
