In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Norfolk State triumphed over Howard with a commanding score of 92-75, led by the impressive performance of Brian Moore Jr., who contributed 30 points to the Spartans’ victory.
Moore demonstrated accuracy in his shooting, making 11 out of 18 attempts and successfully converting all of his eight free-throw shots. This win improves Norfolk State’s record to 14-8, with a conference standing of 4-1 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

Christian Ings supported the team with 19 points, making 7 of 12 field goal attempts, including 1 out of 5 from beyond the arc, along with a perfect 4 for 4 at the free-throw line. Jalen Myers also made a notable contribution, finishing the game with 15 points. He hit 4 of 9 field goals including one 3-pointer out of three attempts, and was flawless at the charity stripe, hitting all six of his free throws.

On the opposing side, Cameron Shockley-Okeke was the top scorer for Howard, ending the game with 19 points. The Bison, who now have a record of 8-12 and 3-1 in the conference, also received strong showings from Marcus Dockery, who recorded 16 points and three steals, and Blake Harper, who contributed 15 points along with seven assists.

Both teams are set to compete again next Saturday; Norfolk State will host South Carolina State while Howard is scheduled to face Hampton.
