MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Donte DiVincenzo, who recently secured a spot in the starting lineup for the Minnesota Timberwolves, has been sidelined indefinitely due to a significant toe injury, as announced by the team ahead of their match against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.

DiVincenzo, a 6-foot-4 guard, is currently in his seventh season after playing his college ball at Villanova. He has already missed the last two games due to this ongoing injury.

“The timeline is indefinite right now,” stated Minnesota coach Chris Finch before the game. “We are still in the process of gathering more details, including what procedures might be necessary moving forward.”

The guard joined the Timberwolves in June as part of a deal that involved sending Karl-Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks. Throughout the season, DiVincenzo has been contributing an average of 11 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. He made his way into the starting five on January 6. During the six games leading up to his injury, DiVincenzo showed impressive form, averaging 17.5 points per game, including a standout performance where he scored a season-high 28 points against the Golden State Warriors on January 15, which turned out to be his last game before being sidelined.
