MOBILE, Ala. – In a strong performance, Dylan Fasoyiro contributed 17 points to lead South Alabama to a 75-62 victory over Southern Miss on Wednesday evening.
Fasoyiro was effective from the field, making 5 of 9 attempts, including 4 for 8 shooting from beyond the arc. He also converted 3 of 4 free throws for the Jaguars, who now hold a record of 13 wins and 5 losses, with 5 wins and 1 loss in the Sun Belt Conference. Additionally, Barry Dunning Jr. scored 12 points, hitting 4 of 11 shots (2 for 6 from three-point territory) and also grabbed seven rebounds. Judah Brown contributed 11 points, making 2 of 9 from the field, but excelled at the free-throw line, converting all five attempts.
On the other side, the Golden Eagles, with a record of 8-10 and 3-3 in conference play, were spearheaded by Alfred Worrell Jr., who recorded 13 points. Denijay Harris made a notable impact with 11 points and 14 rebounds, showcasing his strength under the boards. Andre Curbelo also added 11 points while contributing defensively with three steals.
This victory further solidifies South Alabama’s position in the conference as they continue their campaign, demonstrating impressive teamwork and individual performances on the court.
