SAN ANTONIO — In an impressive performance, Robert Brown III scored a personal best of 37 points, guiding Nicholls to a narrow 88-82 triumph over Incarnate Word on Monday evening.
Brown also contributed significantly on the boards, grabbing seven rebounds for the Colonels, who improved their record to 10-7 overall and 4-2 in the Southland Conference. Alongside Brown, Jaylen Searles showcased his skills with 19 points, seven rebounds, and three steals, while Byron Ireland added another 13 points to the team’s total.
On the opposing side, the Cardinals, now 9-8 overall and 2-4 in conference play, were led by Davion Bailey, who netted 22 points. Jordan Pyke and Jalin Anderson also made notable contributions, scoring 20 points each, with Pyke securing six rebounds and Anderson dishing out four assists.
