LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In a commanding performance, Tajianna Roberts netted 16 points to lead a well-rounded effort from her team, as Louisville topped No. 13 Georgia Tech 69-60 on Sunday, marking their sixth consecutive win.

Roberts struggled from long distance, missing all six of her attempts from three-point range, but excelled near the basket, converting 8 of 12 shots from inside the arc. The Cardinals improved to 12-5 overall and 5-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Ja’Leah Williams contributed significantly as well, finishing with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Nyla Harris displayed efficiency by going 5-for-5 from the field to score 11 points along with grabbing seven boards.

For the Yellow Jackets, Kara Dunn led her squad with 18 points, hitting 8 of 10 attempts. This involvement marks her 11th consecutive game scoring in double figures. Prior to this contest, Dunn had a standout 33-point game in a heart-wrenching double-overtime loss to Virginia Tech, where they fell 105-94, suffering their first defeat of the season. Teammate Tonie Morgan added 13 points and six assists, while Chazadi Wright contributed 10 points off the bench.

As the first quarter unfolded, Williams led the Cardinals with eight points, establishing an 18-13 advantage for Louisville.

The second quarter saw Jayda Curry excel without missing a shot, contributing all eight of her points as Louisville surged ahead to a 37-23 lead by halftime.

In the third quarter, Dunn found her rhythm, scoring 14 points on 6-for-6 shooting, helping Georgia Tech reduce their deficit to 59-49. Roberts, on the other hand, responded with eight points during this period, maintaining Louisville’s offensive pressure.

In the closing moments, Kayla Blackshear’s layup and Morgan’s free throw brought Georgia Tech within a striking distance at 65-60.
