Nick Ellington was a standout for the Racers, contributing 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds.
Terence Harcum also made his mark by adding 11 points to the team’s total.
For the Beacons, Cooper Schwieger led the scoreboard with 12 points, while also securing seven rebounds and blocking five shots.
Darius DeAveiro joined him in double digits with 11 points.
Murray State took control of the game with 6:56 remaining in the first half and maintained their lead throughout.
They held a 26-21 advantage at halftime, with Ellington notably amassing 11 of those points before the break.
Harcum, on the other hand, played a crucial role in the second half, scoring all his points in that period, helping his team solidify their victory.
With this win, the Racers improved their season record to 10-7, marking 4-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Beacons also sit with a record of 10-7, holding a conference record of 3-3.
