TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — In a thrilling matchup, Carter Whitt led the Belmont Bruins to an 84-79 victory over the Indiana State Sycamores on Saturday evening, contributing an impressive 25 points.

Along with his scoring prowess, Whitt also recorded five rebounds and six assists for the Bruins, who now hold a record of 12 wins and 5 losses, with a conference mark of 4-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Brigham Rogers played a significant role as well, contributing 13 points on 6 of 8 shooting, alongside eight rebounds. Jonathan Pierre also made an impact, finishing with 11 points with a shooting line of 4 for 13, including 3 for 8 from the three-point range, while grabbing seven boards.

For the Sycamores, Jaden Daughtry was a standout performer, scoring 23 points and making two steals. Samage Teel added valuable support with 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists, while Aaron Gray contributed a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
