LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell emerged victorious in a close matchup against Lafayette, edging them out 65-62 after an intense overtime period on Wednesday night.

Josh Bascoe was a standout performer for the Bison, contributing 23 points to the team’s win. He showcased his shooting skills, hitting 8 of 15 attempts from the field, which included 5 successful shots from beyond the arc. Additionally, Bascoe went 2 for 3 from the free-throw line. His solid performance helped propel Bucknell to a record of 6 wins and 10 losses overall, with a conference record of 2-1 in the Patriot League. Noah Williamson also made significant contributions by scoring 16 points, although he faced challenges in his shooting, managing only 7 of 21 attempts with just one 3-pointer in seven tries. Williamson’s efforts were bolstered by eight rebounds.

On the other side, Andrew Phillips led the Leopards with an impressive performance of his own, tallying 16 points, along with seven rebounds and two steals.
