LORETTO, Pa. — A decisive 3-pointer by Amir Nesbitt with just 24 seconds left on the clock propelled Stonehill to a narrow victory against St. Francis (PA) on Sunday, finishing with a score of 64-60. Todd Brogna sealed the win by sinking two free throws two seconds before the game ended.
For the Skyhawks (9-8, 1-1 in the Northeast Conference), Hermann Koffi was the standout player, contributing 17 points along with five rebounds. Nesbitt added 13 points, making 5 of 13 attempts from the field, including 3 of 8 from three-point range. Louie Semona also made an impact with 12 points, having a challenging shooting night at 5 for 17, but managed to hit two three-pointers out of 11 attempts.
The Red Flash (5-11, 0-2) saw Riley Parker lead their scoring efforts with 19 points. Bobby Rosenberger III matched this output, also finishing with 19 points. Valentino Pinedo added valuable contributions with 10 points and seven rebounds.
Both teams are set for their next matchups on Friday. Stonehill will host LIU, while Saint Francis (PA) will face Mercyhurst at their home court.
