POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — In an exciting matchup on Sunday, Marist triumphed over Quinnipiac with a score of 69-62, largely thanks to Josh Pascarelli’s impressive performance, where he scored 20 points and secured eight rebounds for the Red Foxes (11-2, 4-0 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).
Elijah Lewis contributed significantly to the team’s victory, finishing with 19 points on a shooting line of 4 for 10 from the field, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc. Additionally, he excelled at the free-throw line, making 9 of his 10 attempts, and added five rebounds to his stat line. Jackson Price also made his mark, scoring 10 points by shooting 3 for 10 overall, with 2 for 7 from three-point range and 2 of 4 at the charity stripe. With this victory, the Red Foxes extended their impressive winning streak to seven games.
On the opposing side, Amarri Tice led the Bobcats (7-8, 3-1) with 15 points along with three steals. Khaden Bennett played a strong game as well, contributing 14 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Paul Otieno added to the team’s effort with 12 points, six rebounds, and three blocks.
Looking ahead, Marist will face off against Fairfield at home next Sunday, while Quinnipiac is set to host Siena on Friday.
