PEORIA, Ill. — Christian Davis was a standout performer for Bradley, delivering 19 points as they secured a 69-60 victory over Missouri State on Saturday evening.
Davis showcased impressive accuracy, making all six of his field goal attempts and converting all five of his free throws, playing a key role in the Braves’ win, which improved their record to 13-2 and a perfect 4-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Darius Hannah also made significant contributions, netting 18 points with a shooting performance of 7 out of 10 from the field, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc. Hannah complemented his scoring with nine rebounds and four blocks. Corey Thomas added 11 points, hitting 3 of 6 shots and making 2 of 3 from three-point territory, along with going 3 for 4 from the free-throw line.
On the other side of the court, Vincent Brady II emerged as the top scorer for the Bears with an impressive 29 points, along with eight rebounds and two steals. Makhai Valentine provided additional support, scoring 13 points and also securing two steals. Michael Osei-Bonsu contributed with seven points, five assists, and two steals, rounding out the contributions from Missouri State.
Bradley managed to seize the lead just five seconds before halftime and maintained control for the remainder of the game. They went into the halftime break with a narrow lead of 30-28, aided in part by Thomas’s first-half performance of 10 points. In the second half, Bradley outscored Missouri State by seven, with Hannah stepping up to score a team-high 14 points after the break, ensuring their solid performance continued.
