LARAMIE, Wyo. — In a dominant performance, Obi Agbim registered 28 points, contributing significantly to Wyoming’s decisive 92-55 win over Bellarmine on Thursday evening.
Agbim also recorded five rebounds and five assists for the Cowboys, who now hold a record of 6-5. A.J. Wills complemented Agbim’s efforts with 13 points, showcasing his shooting skills by going 5 for 7 from the floor, including 3 for 5 from three-point range, and adding seven assists. Matija Belic was another contributor, finishing with 12 points after making 6 of his 9 attempts from the field.
On the opposing side, the Knights (3-9) had their leading scorer, Kenyon Goodin, who managed to put up 13 points in the game.
Agbim was particularly instrumental in the first half, leading the scoring for his team with 13 points, which helped establish a commanding 52-28 lead by halftime. As the second half unfolded, Wyoming pushed their advantage to 71-36, aided by a strong 10-0 scoring spree. In this half, Agbim continued his impressive play, scoring an additional 15 points.
