— In an exciting game on Wednesday night, Longwood University triumphed over Gardner-Webb with a score of 90-77, marking an impressive performance following a challenging five-game losing streak.

Colby Garland stood out for the Lancers, scoring 19 points and contributing five assists to aid his team’s victory. The Lancers, who now hold a record of 17 wins and 11 losses, including 6 wins and 7 losses in the Big South Conference, also saw strong performances from other players. Michael Christmas made a significant impact with 18 points and secured seven rebounds, while Kyrell Luc had a solid outing, shooting 7 of 12 from the field for 16 points, along with 10 assists and three steals.

On the other side, Gardner-Webb’s Anthony Selden led his team with 22 points, demonstrating his offensive skills. Darryl Simmons II also made a notable contribution, adding 21 points and two steals. Shahar Lazar chipped in with nine points, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory for the Runnin’ Bulldogs, who now hold a record of 10 wins and 16 losses, with 5 wins and 8 losses in conference play.
