LOGAN, Utah — Utah State triumphed over Colorado State with a score of 93-85 on Tuesday night, spurred by an impressive performance from Mason Falslev, who netted 22 points in the game.
Falslev also contributed significantly in other areas, collecting five rebounds and providing five assists for the Aggies, who now hold a record of 22-3 overall and 12-2 in the Mountain West Conference. Aubin Gateretse had a standout game as well, scoring 16 points, making all seven of his field goal attempts and converting two out of four free throws. He also recorded six rebounds. Ian Martinez added to the team’s success with 14 points, shooting 50% from the field and making four out of seven attempts from beyond the arc.
On the other side, Colorado State was led by Nique Clifford, who put on a strong performance with 24 points and 16 rebounds. The Rams, now standing at 15-9 and 9-4 in conference play, also saw contributions from Jaylen Crocker-Johnson, who scored 17 points. Kyan Evans added to the team’s efforts with 14 points and two steals.
Utah State took control of the game early, securing the lead just 19 seconds into the first half and maintaining it throughout. By halftime, the Aggies had built a comfortable 45-30 lead, with Falslev contributing 16 points to the scoreboard.
Utah State’s next challenge will be against New Mexico on the road this upcoming Sunday, while Colorado State prepares for a home game against Wyoming on Saturday.
