BETHLEHEM, Pa. — In a dominant performance, Nasir Whitlock came off the bench to score 21 points, leading Lehigh to a convincing 86-47 victory against Lafayette on Saturday night.

Whitlock displayed efficiency, shooting 50% from the field, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc. The Mountain Hawks, with a record of 7-12 overall and 2-6 in the Patriot League, also received significant contributions from Edouard Benoit, who netted 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting, with 3 of 4 from three-point territory. Tyler Whitney-Sidney added 15 points, hitting 4 of 6 from the field and making all 6 of his free-throw attempts, while also securing six rebounds. This game marked a welcome end to a six-game losing streak for the Mountain Hawks.

For the Leopards, who now stand at 8-13 and 3-5 in conference play, Justin Vander Baan was a bright spot, scoring 11 points and recording two blocks. Caleb Williams contributed seven points, and Mark Butler chipped in six points, alongside six rebounds and four steals.

Lehigh seized the advantage just over two minutes into the contest and maintained control throughout. Whitlock led the scoring charge in the first half with 13 points, helping the team to establish a dominant 43-21 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Mountain Hawks fueled their dominance with a 13-2 scoring run, which expanded their lead from 28 to 39 points. They outscored Lafayette by 17 points in the second half, with Benoit leading the team in scoring during that period with 12 points.
