HOUSTON — In an impressive display of teamwork and skill, Javohn Garcia and DJ Richards each contributed 16 points, guiding McNeese to a solid 75-59 victory over Houston Christian on Monday evening. This win marks the seventh consecutive triumph for the Cowboys, showcasing their growing dominance in the Southland Conference.

Garcia’s performance was well-rounded, as he also secured seven rebounds and made four critical steals. His teammate, Richards, also excelled defensively with four steals of his own. Joe Charles made a noteworthy contribution as well, adding 11 points to the scoreboard for McNeese (12-5, 6-0 in the Southland Conference).

On the other side, the Huskies, who hold a record of 6-11 and 3-3 in conference play, were led by D’Aundre Samuels. He delivered a commendable effort with 15 points, along with five assists and three steals. Julian Mackey and Bryson Dawkins also made contributions, with Mackey scoring nine points and Dawkins rounding out his performance with seven points and seven rebounds.
