LONDON — Ra’ess Bangura-Williams made an impressive entry into professional football by scoring just 10 minutes into his debut as Millwall triumphed over Dagenham & Redbridge with a decisive 3-0 victory on Monday. This win sets the stage for an upcoming FA Cup fourth-round match against Leeds United.
At just 20 years of age, Bangura-Williams had recently secured a new contract and found himself on the pitch with Millwall leading 2-0, and only 15 minutes remaining in the match. Almost immediately after entering the game, he skillfully maneuvered in from the left side and executed a precise finish, sliding the ball beneath the oncoming goalkeeper from a tricky angle.
The first half saw Mihailo Ivanovi? put Millwall ahead with an early goal, and Casper De Norre added to the scoreline, bringing it to 2-0 with 20 minutes left to play.
The dates for the fourth-round FA Cup matches are currently set for February 8.
