ENSTONE, England — Franco Colapinto has officially signed on as a reserve driver for Alpine Formula 1 for the current season, marking a significant step after his stint with Williams last year.

At just 21 years old, the Argentine racer has inked a multi-year contract with Alpine, a team that recently announced the promotion of Jack Doohan, who will partner with Pierre Gasly in the future.

Colapinto concluded the 2024 season with five points after stepping in for Logan Sargeant in August, showcasing his potential and adaptability during that period.
