Amad Diallo of Manchester United secures contract extension lasting until 2030

MANCHESTER, England — Forward Amad Diallo has officially extended his contract with Manchester United, securing his stay at the Premier League club until 2030.

Diallo recently displayed his talent by scoring a crucial late goal to level the match against league leaders Liverpool, resulting in a thrilling 2-2 draw. His prowess was also evident in December when he netted a decisive goal in the 90th minute, securing a 2-1 victory over Manchester City.

In the club’s announcement, Diallo expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I have experienced some unforgettable moments with this club, but there is still so much more ahead. My aspirations in football are significant, and I aim to create history at Manchester United.”

The 22-year-old joined United from Atalanta in 2021 and spent time on loan at both Rangers and Sunderland. He made his way into the first team last season and has already featured in 26 matches this year, contributing six goals and seven assists despite a challenging campaign for the club.

Diallo acknowledged the difficulties the season has posed for the entire squad, stating, “It has been tough for everyone, but I am confident that we are heading in the right direction, and the future looks bright. I am prepared to give my all to support the team and restore pride to our supporters.”

His knack for scoring essential late goals has become a hallmark of his career; last season, he played a pivotal role in a dramatic FA Cup quarterfinal against Liverpool, scoring in the dying moments of extra time to secure a 4-3 victory.

Technical director Jason Wilcox praised Diallo’s progress, highlighting his ball skills, versatility, and determination, asserting that he is an integral part of Manchester United’s future.
