TEMPE, Ariz. — In a significant matchup on Friday night, Pepperdine triumphed over New Mexico State with a score of 82-70, thanks to a standout performance from Stefan Todorovic, who scored 22 points.
In addition to his scoring, Todorovic contributed six rebounds and five assists, helping the Waves improve their record to 2-5 this season. Moe Odum also played a crucial role in the victory, netting 15 points on an impressive shooting performance of 5 for 6 from the field, including a remarkable 3 for 4 from three-point range, along with nine assists. Boubacar Coulibaly added his share with 13 points, as the Waves snapped a five-game losing streak with this win.
New Mexico State’s leading scorer was Peter Filipovity, who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Robert Carpenter contributed an additional 14 points for the Aggies. Dionte Bostick also made his presence felt with 11 points and three steals in the game.
