Republican Bob Onder has successfully secured a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives for Missouri, as confirmed by results from the election held on Tuesday.
Onder emerged victorious in his inaugural term representing the 3rd District, which encompasses both central and east-central areas of Missouri, by overcoming the challenge posed by Democrat Bethany Mann.
With a background in medicine, Onder brings experience from his previous two-year tenure in the Missouri House and an impressive eight years in the Missouri Senate prior to his recent Congressional election in 2022.
Bethany Mann, conversely, is the proprietor of a company that specializes in organic skincare products and also works in a firm that supplies laboratory equipment for chemical analysis.
In the previous election in 2022, Mann garnered approximately 35% of the votes while competing against then-incumbent Republican Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer.
The election results were officially called at 10:53 p.m. EST, marking a significant moment in the political landscape of Missouri.
