FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys will be without star pass rusher Micah Parsons for another game due to a high ankle sprain. Additionally, the much-anticipated debut of All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland will also be postponed for at least one more week.

Both Parsons and Bland were officially ruled out for the upcoming Sunday night game against San Francisco. This marked the third consecutive game Parsons has missed, an unusual situation for the player, as this is the first significant injury of his career.

Bland, who is on injured reserve, had surgery late in the preseason to address a stress fracture in his foot. The talented third-year player made history last season by setting an NFL record with five interception returns for touchdowns.

The Cowboys, currently holding a 3-3 record, will face their third straight game without their top two pass rushers, as DeMarcus Lawrence is also on injured reserve due to a foot injury. Parsons sustained his ankle sprain during a narrow 20-15 victory over the New York Giants, subsequently missing a win against Pittsburgh and a loss to Detroit. Prior to this stretch of missed games, the only time the two-time All-Pro had sat out was during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, where he was recognized as the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.

In addition to Parsons and Bland, linebacker Eric Kendricks and rookie cornerback Caelen Carson are listed as questionable due to shoulder injuries. Kendricks has already missed one game, while Carson has been out for three weeks. Carson was initially positioned to fill in for Bland at the start of the season.
