The recent introduction of a 32-team Club World Cup by FIFA has raised further apprehensions among players, with the global players’ union FIFPRO initiating legal action against FIFA over its expanded tournaments. Rodri underscored the physical demands on players, stating that playing 60 to 70 matches, as some players might have to, is excessive.
