    MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — In a thrilling contest on Saturday, Tre Green was instrumental in Middle Tennessee’s victory against Sam Houston, contributing 17 points as a key player off the bench, leading the team to a 74-70 triumph.

    Green showcased his shooting skills, successfully making 5 of 10 attempts from the field, including an impressive 5 of 9 from beyond the arc, solidifying the Blue Raiders’ position with a record of 18-9 and 9-5 in Conference USA play. Additionally, teammate Essam Mostafa played a crucial role, scoring 13 points from 6 of 13 shooting while also collecting eight rebounds to provide support in the paint.

    On the opposing side, Lamar Wilkerson emerged as the top scorer for the Bearkats, netting an impressive 24 points along with two steals. Erik Taylor contributed 11 points to the team’s efforts, while Cameron Huefner added 10 points and also secured two steals.

    Middle Tennessee held a slight advantage at halftime, leading 39-31 after a strong performance that included 12 points from Green in the first half.
