INDIANAPOLIS — A notable presence at Wednesday night’s NBA Finals in Indianapolis was Caitlin Clark, who didn’t want to miss the thrill of the big game. Located at a prime spot by the baseline, she was there to support the Indiana Pacers.
The rising WNBA star made her appearance in a vibrant yellow T-shirt that boldly displayed the famous Indiana basketball motto coupled with an NBA Finals logo. Accompanying Clark were her Indiana Fever teammates, Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard, as they enjoyed the spectacle alongside the Pacers’ bench.
This thrilling Game 3 in the NBA Finals placed the Indiana Pacers against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a significant home game for Indiana, marking their first in the finals since the year 2000.
The event attracted several icons of Indiana basketball, including Hall of Famers Oscar Robertson and Reggie Miller, who were spotted near the court. Other notable figures like Mark Jackson, Dale Davis, and numerous former Pacers stars were in attendance, as well as acclaimed former Indianapolis Colts player Edgerrin James.
The game also drew attention from the auto racing world. Alex Palou, the recent winner of the Indianapolis 500, arrived in style at the venue, cruising in a gold-lit pace car from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in honor of the Pacers.
Clark, together with her Fever teammates, has been a frequent supporter at the Pacers’ playoff games whenever their schedules align. The Fever’s next matchup is slated for Saturday against the reigning WNBA champions, the New York Liberty. Although Clark is currently nursing a thigh injury, there is a possibility she will rejoin the team for Saturday’s game.
