BEREA, Ohio — Linebacker Jerome Baker is making a return to his roots, having signed a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns. This move marks Baker’s return to his birthplace as he joins the Browns roster. Baker is set to embark on his eighth professional season in 2025. Previously, he commenced last season with the Seattle Seahawks before being traded to the Tennessee Titans. During that season, he participated in 10 games, recording 61 tackles and securing two sacks.
Baker’s early professional career began in Miami after he was selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Dolphins. His standout year occurred in 2020 when he achieved a personal best of seven sacks and amassed 111 tackles, marking a career highlight in Miami. Over the course of his seven-year career in the NFL, Baker has played in 104 games, starting in 90 of them. His career statistics include 632 tackles, an impressive 24 1/2 sacks, and five interceptions.
