Maine’s recent form has been strong, winning their last three games following a stretch where they lost four out of five. Tynes not only led his team in scoring with 13 points but also contributed significantly on the defensive end, gathering 13 rebounds along with three steals and three blocks. AJ Lopez supported with 12 points, shooting 5 of 12 overall, with a challenging night from beyond the arc, sinking only one of five attempts, and similarly having a tough time from the free-throw line, converting just one of four shots.
Vermont, the second seed with a 20-11 record, saw Ileri Ayo-Faleye shine despite the loss, scoring 14 points, grabbing six rebounds, and adding two blocks to his performance. Sam Alamutu made a significant impact on the boards with 21 rebounds and contributed eight points. Meanwhile, Nick Fiorillo pitched in with seven points and six rebounds.
